Harvest season is here.

My grandfather was a farmer.  He would work extremely hard to grow his crops all season.  He didn’t just plant them and then leave them alone.  He took care of the soil before planting, then chose the crops wisely, watered them, fertilized them, got rid of the weeds that would destroy them, kept them from freezing, and then when they were ready, he harvested them.  Some years the crops grew well and other years were not so fruitful.

So it is with our health.  We have to start from the ground and work our way up.  Sometimes, the “harvest” is shortly after the beginning of our work and at other times, it takes a long time to finally notice the improvements we’ve been seeking.  Two people who do the same things to aid their health are not going to reap the same rewards.  For some of us, our physiology or genetics are such that it takes more of an effort to feel better.

Have you ever had a friend who could eat pretty much anything they wanted and would always feel good?  Good for them!  I hope that continues for them, but the fact for most of us is that it comes to bite us eventually.  Eating healthy foods (the right foods for us aren’t necessarily the right foods for everyone) will help us in the long run.  Maintaining our spinal alignment will help us in the long run.  As a society, we’re generally focused on the short term, but the harvest is when we finally see the fruit!

No one knows your body better than you do.  No doctor can be your advocate (especially medical doctors who are trained to fix diseases rather than keep them from occurring in the first place).  You have to choose to sow health.  You cannot sit back and assume that your health will be there for you.  Do not give up!  You can reclaim your life.

Sleep is crucial.

NUCCA adjustments will keep your spine in alignment and aid your nervous system in all of it’s endeavors.

Positive mental outlook and gratitude for your blessings will keep your brain and body chemistry more healthy.

Exercise will aid your body and brain.

Proper food is the building blocks for healing of your body.

Other healthy choices are: massage, acupuncture, homeopathy, etc.

Harvest is coming… will you be ready?
