It is a good idea to begin eliminating these foods slowly so as not to cause the body to react negatively. Cutting out fast food and soda is a great place to begin. Opt to bring your lunch to work and drink tea sweetened with honey instead of a burger and soda from a fast food joint.

It is also important to supplement with vitamins as most Americans do not get enough in diet alone. Many people test low in vitamin D. This can lead to back pain as vitamin D is important when it comes to absorbing calcium. The sun is also an excellent way to get some extra vitamin D, so try taking a lunchtime walk if the weather is nice.

Keep the Spine as Healthy as Possible

A misalignment in the bones of the upper cervical spine, especially the top two vertebrae of the neck, can be a major contributor to back pain. These bones dictate one’s posture.
